A new dishwasher!

We got a new dishwasher today...a Kenmore portable. This one is much smaller than our old one but fits in the kitchen better. It's also white and matches the fridge. Now we just need to get the stove replaced! (hint hint)

Happy 3rd Birthday Otto!

Otto is 3 years old today and is living it up! We've been singing happy birthday to him all day! Lily on the other hand is hating the cone she has to wear...her foot is finally healing but boy is it taking forever! She is on medication and the swelling is still enormous. It's back to the vet on Tuesday if things don't progress like they are suppose to by then. We are all pulling for a speeding recovery! Poor Lily. She is such a good girl but she really hates wearing that cone on her head.

We finally got a great shot! What a handsome dude!

RoboGames!

We had such a great day! Our annual trip to the RoboGames in San Mateo was such an outstanding day! We saw Sewer Snake again...he was not a disappointment! It was loud, people were stopping their feet and shouting! He made the audience dance with his stream of fire...OMG...he was so exciting to watch! I hope he wins the competition again this year...but I have to wait till after tomorrow's competition to find out. The waiting is going to kill me! We all had a great day! The boys had fun too...but I had a ball! I love this stuff!

Spring Break!

We could hardly wait to get in the car and go!  School is out, we are packed and fun is just around the corner...or so we thought! Jacob and Raymond spent 3 great days with their grandparents up in Napa while Tyler and I had some fun at home. Finally though, we all climbed in the car and headed south, to Disneyland! Our first day was very wet but we managed to get a few rides in before leaving the park. Then we went to our hotel for awhile, changed and went back that night for a few more hours. Saturday was a much drier day...although the boys all went on water rides and got soaked!  Go figure!  We had a good time...but it was nice to come home and sleep in our beds!  Although, Tyler wants another week so he can just play on his computer! :)

Right after breakfast, the boys all got balloons made for them. Jacob picked a monkey, Raymond picked a motorcycle and Tyler picked Mickey Mouse.

Well, some look ready for fun.

This was one of the coolest exhibits I have seen in a long time.

State Project

Tyler finished his state project today...his homework was on North Dakota.  He has to present his project next week after spring break.  His poster turned out really well...I am so proud of him. We wrote to the North Dakota Chamber of Commerce last week and they sent him a huge package of maps, a cardboard license plate and other interesting information that we glued to a poster board - as you can see. Then he printed lots of other pictures off the internet, like the state flag, their state bird, the state fish, the state insect, the state tree, the state motto. I helped him glue the poster together...boy what a mess that was...but it was fun.  Tyler does not like to get his fingers gooey! :)

Tyler's first party of the week!

We started the birthday celebration early with a birthday dinner at Gram and Paca's with the cousins. Tyler got to pick the dinner. His favorite was lemon chicken and wild rice from the Chinese restaurant and Mac & Cheese from Boston Market. But he liked the birthday cake with cookie dough ice cream the best! I knew he would! It was a fun night. He got lots of Bionicles for his birthday. He was one happy dude!

A trip to Arizona!

We drove east...to Tucson, Tombstone and Canyon Lake. I took the boys to visit Nana and Granddad for 4 days. We had a lot of fun...but it was a long drive in the car...14 hours to be exact. We celebrated a birthday with Sal and everyone the first night, then went down Canyon Lake in Dad's pontoon "party" boat the following day where we spotted mountain goats. There was a herd with babies...there were so cute. Then Monday we went to Tombstone and saw Boot Hill and a gun fight between some real cowboys. They were hilarious! The final day we spent at the Desert Museum checking out all the desert animals...that was really cool! Tyler got to see all his cousins, Aunts and Uncles again while Jacob and Raymond got to meet all of them for the first time. They fit right in...like they've been part of the family right from the start. We really had a great trip!

Super Bowl Prizes?

Ray wants to win some prizes so he asked me to shoot his picture for Pepsi and Frito Lay products...for a super bowl promotion. He is so funny!  I hope he wins something....he'll be heart broken if he doesn't.

The Pet Expo!

Today I took the boys to see DockDogs at the the Pet Expo in San Jose. They were so much fun to watch. We saw so many different breeds of dogs at this place today...but I decided Otto was the cutest of all of them! I really want to get Otto into Dock Dogs. He would be so good at it...he's already a natural at running fast and loves the water! The boys had a blast watching all the dogs do their tricks.  We also saw agility and K9 attack dogs. Wow...we were amazed!

This was a black lab that was so cool...a puppy that was fun to watch!

This dog tried so hard to get his bone...and everyone clapped when he finally got it!

OMG...this dog was so good....PERFECT form...and yes, we all clapped when he got the bone! They were so fun to watch!

The SFO Exploratorium!

What a fun weekend we had!  We piled in the car around 10am and headed North for the day.  It was so hard to leave the city. We had a blast. There was so much to do and see at the Exploratorium...and they all want to go back!  We got us some smart dudes!

Not a morning person!

Getting ready for school in the morning is not exactly the best time of the day around here! This is a very typical picture around our breakfast table during the week. You might have to guess who this one is though! I will give you a hint...it is NOT any character from star wars!

01/20/12

An Award Ceremony at School!

Today was the day they handed out the certificates at school for GPA's, Perfect Attendance and Perfect STAR Test Scores.  We have a lot of bright kids at our school.  There were over 300 awards given out!  Tyler got his...another 4.0 Gold GPA Certificate for straight A's. We are so proud of him!

A nice surprise!

Look what we got in the mail yesterday! I was so proud of Tyler...he is one smart dude! Scott, Tyler and I all got straight A's last semester! We are waiting to see if a few more people got straight A's too...Jacob thinks he did and maybe Raymond.  So we may have to hit Baskin Robins again before this semester is over! I am certainly game for that! :)

1/8/12

A Birthday Party!

We celebrated Scott's birthday last night and his brother's too. Dinner was super scrumptious! All the boys had a blast...it was a fun night!  Scott got some nice gifts from everyone. I think he was a happy camper!

This is my favorite picture....all the boys helping blow out the candles...a real team effort! After all, there should have been over a hundred candles on that cake if the truth be told (55 + 54 = >100)! heh heh heh

Happy New Year!!!

2011 certainly went by quickly. This year is definitely getting off to a great start. We are a family of 5 now. It seems like this is how it has always suppose to have been, things just fit together so well. So we started off the new year watching football...well they guys did anyway.  Then we went to Scott's families house for dinner. We had Lasagna...everyone loved that! They all loved meeting the newest members of the family and we had some laughs...it was a fun night! Then we came home and watched Rango. The boys loved it. I didn't make any new year's resolutions this year...I just hope this year is better than last year for everyone in so many ways!
